What do you get when you put a Victorian trim manufacturer, landscaper, electrician, recording studio owner, a creative director for an advertising
firm, and a roofing and aluminium products salesman together and turn them loose on stage?
The Midlife Crisis Band - and an audience that's dancing and having an outrageously good time! Midlife Crisis is one of Durham Regions hottest bands. It was co founded by musician Jy Fairlie. An electrical project Manager and singer/songwriter, Jy has played guitar and performed lead vocals for over 25 years with various bands such as Pegasus and The Network. |

David is the owner of Chalet Studio, a Claremont-based recording studio that has served numerous Canadian musicians from Liona Boyd to Rush. David performs vocals and plays keyboard for Midlife Crisis. Having previously spent ten years on the road as a full-time musician, he looks at the band's gigs as "...a way to stay connected."
On drums and vocals is Jon Bouwmeister, the "baby" of the group (whose members' ages range from 40 to 52). The owner of Dutch Style Landscaping in Stouffville, Jon has played music since the age of nine. Randall Headon, fills out the sound with a wicked bass guitar. His background includes playing with several name bands. In addition to venting his artistic passions through music, he owns a company that makes Victorian gingerbread trim for houses. Sonny Stone on the saxophone is a creative director for The Mitchell Shore Creative Services and Advertising firm; specializing in just about everything. Sonny has spent 25 years in the advertising / marketing game and has periodically jumped on and off the full time music circuit. playing and filling in for members for a host of big time bands. Pierre "Pete" Mongeon is a full time musician and senior sales representative for a roofing and siding production company. Like Sonny and the rest of the guy's on THE MID LIFE CRISIS BAND.Com; He has toured the USA and Canada several times over the years playing for a wide variety of bands. |

"Every one of us has been involved in the music business in some way for over 25 years," says Jy, "touring with other bands, recording - all over the U.S. and Canada. We work as a team - we all have egos, but they fit through the door!" As for the Midlife Crisis focus, he adds, "Soul, rock, blues, rhythm & blues - if you can dance to it, we play it!"
And dance to it they do. Audiences are crazy about these guys, "The band is a serious hobby and very important part of our lives so it's a good thing that our better halves support us comming in at 3 and 4 a.m. We bring them along on gigs whenever we can." In fact, the band has become an extended family for all the members. |

The maturity of the group is one of its most marketable features. Their sound is rich with the kind of experience that transcends amps and flashy outfits. They love playing for an audience, whether it's 100 people, or 10,000.
In addition to corporate functions, Midlife Crisis is known for successful gigs at local clubs such as The Earl of Whitchurch and of course, Fullerton's Place in Stouffville, which has one of the top followings for musical talent in Central Ontario. The band also does performances that benefit worthy causes, such as the Children's Wish Foundation. You may have heard Midlife Crisis at the Central Ontario Ride For Sight in Collingwood, Ontario in June, where for the past six years they performed as one of the headline bands on the same stage as Kim Mitchell, Jeff Healey, Sass Jordan and a host of other bands. |
| Wherever they go, "fun" is on the agenda, and although much of the music they play appeals to people ages 35 and up, music lovers of all ages can be found enjoying this particular Midlife Crisis! |
